According to the Shanghai Securities News, TechInsights believes that 2024 will be an important moment for Huawei Hongmeng Harmony OS, when the Next version of Harmony OS that is not compatible with Android will be officially commercialized. How to build an independent application ecosystem on this basis will become a new challenge for Huawei in the next few years.

At the same time, Huawei senior executive Yu Chengdong released a full staff letter on the 2nd, saying that Hongmeng ecological equipment has more than 700 million, 2024 will be a key year for native Hongmeng, to speed up the development of various types of Hongmeng native applications, and focus on creating the two key battlefields of technical foundation and three-way ecology.

According to Huawei's plan, the new HarmonyOS NEXT developer preview will be available to all developers in the first quarter of this year. A major event on 18 January will reveal a new chapter in the development of Hung Meng Ecology and HarmonyOS NEXT.

As of August 2023, more than 2.2 million developers have participated in the development of Hongmeng Ecology. At present, Hongmeng ecology is still expanding steadily.

In September 2023, Huawei announced that the new HarmonyOS NEXT will be launched soon, starting the construction of Hongmeng native application ecology. HarmonyOS NEXT removes the traditional Linux kernel and AOSP code and is no longer compatible with Android apps. In recent months, many Internet giants and leading enterprises have started the development of Hongmeng native applications.

At present, more than 400 enterprises, including iQiyi, Alipay, Meituan, Miha You, B station, Ammap, etc., have announced the launch of Hongmeng native application development in 18 fields, such as travel, social networking, gaming, office, shopping, life and education. The new ecological map of Hongmeng has been basically improved.

Recently, Huawei App market launched Hongmeng native application column "Hongmeng Pioneer", which has more than 150 applications on the line, covering Autonavi map, QQ Music, iQiyi, Himalaya, Tiktok and other aspects.

According to official news, China Mobile App, which has more than 300 million users, has also officially launched the development of Hongmeng native apps and services based on HarmonyOS NEXT.
