IMC Test&Measurement, a global leader in data collection and testing technology, has launched an 8-channel portable dynamic strain gauge STG-8 in the Chinese market. Synchronous collection of analog quantities such as strain, voltage, and current. Without PC and out of the box use, it integrates acquisition, signal conditioning, real-time analysis, on-board storage, speed change recording and synchronous expansion and other integrated functions to meet the needs of Structural mechanics testing and remote health monitoring and other different application scenarios in civil engineering, automobile, high-speed railway, aerospace, shipbuilding, machinery and other industries.
Small stature, great function
IMC STG-8 dynamic strain gauge, with built-in high-precision signal conditioning, supports full bridge/half bridge/1/4 bridge strain signals, with a strain range of ± 1mV/V... ± 1000mV/V, and provides 5V bridge power supply. For 1/4 bridge, the software can choose bridge compensation resistors of 120 Ω or 350 Ω, which are ready to use out of the box and convenient for measurement. The voltage range covers ± 5mV... ± 10V, and the current range covers 1mA... ± 50mA. Therefore, common sensors can be adapted and directly connected for measurement.
The data acquisition and measurement hardware designed and manufactured in Germany, on the one hand, is suitable for collecting physical signals from static to high dynamic. A single system has a total sampling rate of 400kHz, and 8 analog channels can be arbitrarily combined into 2 groups. The sampling frequency can be independently set, ranging from 500Hz/ch for medium speed sampling to 100kHz/ch for high-speed sampling. Different adoption frequencies can be set according to the signal or actual needs, effectively ensuring the maximization of testing performance benefits; On the other hand, DAQ data acquisition equipment has high measurement accuracy, with a system accuracy of better than 0.1% for each device. Systems extended through synchronous networks have the same measurement accuracy and consistency.
In line with the actual needs of stress and strain testing, the dynamic strain gauge STG-8 has a unique design in software and hardware functions, introducing over a hundred functional functions that can analyze the measured signals in real time. For example, real-time stress calculation of strain patterns does not need to wait until the end of the experiment, and the calculation results can be obtained during the experiment, facilitating the monitoring and analysis of important parameters.
Facilitate long-term monitoring and reduce data volume
Each measurement channel has its own monitoring channel, which facilitates the setting of pre triggering conditions for signal acquisition. IMC features real-time compression recording, which can automatically change the sampling speed according to the speed of signal changes. With small changes, there are few records, and fast changes, there are dense records, effectively reducing the amount of data recording. It is suitable for long-term monitoring applications such as civil engineering and outdoor fields.
STG-8 is a new product developed specifically for the Chinese market. It is a multifunctional, compact, and portable tester that is very affordable, "said Felix Wong, Vice President of Business for Greater China. "The main target application is strain testing in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, railway, aerospace and other fields. STG-8 can also be used as a general Data logger for other applications."
